I haven't had Hibachi since we first moved into the Stone Mt area in 2009 because the first place we tried out here was so bad. But, I was craving some and opted to give this place a try based on other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance seemed well maintained, the majority of the servers and the chef were very friendly, though the service (specifically how often our drinks were checked on and such) was a bit sparse. Oh, and, possibly because we arrived on a slow night, it took them a while to present the chef. But, once he showed up we trucked along quite well, glad not to have much of all the show-y stuff that I've seen too many times at other places (like when they throw food at your face for you to try and catch in you mouth). I hate that nonsense. Anyhow, I had their hot green tea which didn't get bitter if not gulped down immediately, a salmon sushi roll appetizer, and the filet steak dinner option (complete with the usual miso soup, salad, and sherbet for dessert). I was particularly pleased by the salad dressing, ginger sauce compliment for the steak, and the quality of the filet. Looking forward to seating at such a convenient spot again.

Good food but aging restaurant need plenty of upkeep. The food tasted good. I had the filet and shrimp. Cook did a good job on flavor and entertaining. The chairs need to be replaced. Their old and dirty as is behind the grill area. I sure hope what I can't see is cleaner than what I could. Carpet is 20 yrs old. Good eats buts need some serious updating and cleaning inside.

The worker there with the red hat is the best and made the whole dinner enjoyable, that was my first time going there, but my second time, the guy wasn't entertaining at all , and my boyfriend tried the shrimp for the first time, and got food poisoning, he was so sick he was out of work for almost a week.... Plus the chicken tasted good but was chewy and grainy like a sour gummy worm... I didn't finish my meal...

Always a good show!! Delicious food, love the sushi. I just love hibachi and it's probably the best hibachi in Lilburn/Stone Mountain

We went on Saturday night, May 9, and was surprised to find that there was nearly no one in the restaurant. Well, we understood why after eating. The service was exceedingly slow, there was absolutely no show, and the food was absolutely tasteless. We will not be back.

Pretty standard Japanese steakhouse. The strip mall its located in has gotten pretty deserted but inside the decor is decent. Had the hibachi and the chef had a few good one liners with the usual onion volcano. The steak had a few pieces that were too chewy but overall the food was pretty good. I didnt try the sushi.

As good as Benihana's, and less pricey. Get the Emporer's special for $35, includes lobster, scallops, shrimp and filet. Excellent showmanship and food.

I've been here a handful of times, and I've never been disappointed. It sometimes seems a bit empty, but that's never been a deterrent for me. It just means that there are fewer people to annoy when the party gets started! The food has always been delicious and the service spectacular. The showmanship of the hibachi chefs are standard -- but I'm not a huge fan of hibachi anyway. I've always been pleased with my meal, and have always walked out feeling akin to a stuffed sausage link! I've had the sushi here, and that was very good as well. It's a great place to bring the family or a loud group of friends. I really like the private rooms it has for each hibachi grill/table. It makes you feel rather like you were at home, and the table and chef just magically appeared.

Good sushi, very fresh and wonderful service. I usually sit at the bar as I not a fan of Hibachi. They have full service at the sushi bar and sitting around it. Great place to eat!

Nagano Japanese Steak House is one of the best Japanese restaurants ever. Their sushi is great and the Hibachi is wonderful as well. The combo meals and Chef Specials are cheap in comparison with other Japanese Restaurants. Try the Emperor Dinner. It is like 31 or 32 dollars but it has fillet mignon, scallops, shrimp, and lobster. Did I mention it's delicious? Dinner comes with soup, salad and ice cream or sherbet . Everything there is good. I have yet to order something I didn't like. If I could eat there every night I would.

I have dined here several times and have gotten great food every time. The restaurant itself itsn't that impressive and the hibachi chefs don't have the best showmanship, but food is the most important thing, and I love it. I always order the filet mignon and scallops combo. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, which is better than Bennie Hanna's. My one complaint about the food is that they don't spin the salad after it is washed, so the dressing just slides off it. But I would recommend Nagano to anyone.

Took my dad here cause he want to eat at a Japanese restaurant for the "experience". Unfortunately that experience was really mediocre and we just end up paying for a meal with no excitement/entertainment whatsoever. The usual hibachi experience would start off with some eggs thrown up in the air and somehow the chef break it open. Then some sort of cho cho train with fire and then the catch the food with ur mouth fun. Something along those stuff that I mention above. But the chef we got tonight said two words to me and my dad throughout the whole dinner. I ordered the scallops and chicken while my dad had the steak and chicken. My scallops was huge but even after cooked the scallop was mushy. I think it's probably old scallops. My dad's steak was over cooked even though we wanted it medium. Both of our chicken was too sweet. Overall I wouldn't come back here. There are better hibachi in Atlanta.

Great fried rice! The fast and friendly service made our visit very pleasant and we will definitely be back for another hibachi dining experience. The sushi selection was great, as well. We will be sure to tell our friends about this hidden gem near Stone Mountain.

Really poor sushi. The rice was poor quality. The fish was not cut well. Very dirty restaurant (grease makes everything sticky). Sushi is better at Buffet restaurants. We didn't try the grill so perhaps it's better.

Great little surprise tucked away in a shopping center. Quick. Fresh sushi. Nice staff.

We ate here last night and there were eight of us. We all enjoyed our selections very much. We each got plenty of food per serving. Out of the eight we had four different entrees. Three of us took home leftovers. I would recommend this as a place to eat.

Been here a few times and did take out once. Never ever will try that again!! Take out was obviously a reheated meal that was like plastic and clearly very old. They are also weird with coupons. And finally there really is very little if any show from the cooks preparing your meal. I am disappointed in this place; with some effort it could be so much better. I hope they try harder in future.

I love this restaurant because it is so simple and great! I have been here many times and it's always delicious. I love the service here-all the chefs and waiters are so nice and helpful. The food is always cooked perfectly and you get more food than you usually want. I recommend this to people who want a simple but delicious Japanese experience.

I've been here a few times & it's always been ok. Not the best but certainly not the worst Japanese steakhouse I've been to. I'm surprised at the glowing responses prior to mine but I guess that's because they are all dated 09. I only got take-out on Sunday and didn't stay for the show but whenever I have it's always been A-Ok
